MediCantare Girls’ Choir

MediCantare Girls’ Choir was founded in 2011, and has been operating with a constant headcount of approximately 25-30. Besides the classical choir repertoire, the choir has participated in numerous innovative initiatives, it has participated in the Night of Choirs several times, it has organised a klezmer concert together with a band, and in spring 2018, performed Vivaldi’s Gloria rewritten for female voices, in which the solos were sung by members of the choir.

An important tradition of the choir is the annual “Köztünkszólva” concert, when anyone is welcome to join the choir even for just one concert, regardless of age, gender and experience in singing. MediCantare Girls’ Choir organises its own festival every two years, where guest choirs from the neighbouring countries are also welcome.
